Job Description

Nanolab Technologies, a Eurofins company, is a scientific services company offering a breadth of expertise and a diversity of analytical techniques to help our clients understand the physical and chemical properties of their materials. We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientist to join our multi-disciplinary team as a scientist for our battery lab.

You will be at the forefront of building a new battery testing lab for our SF Bay Area location. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up variety of advanced tools and techniques for battery testing to help support diverse aspects of a client’s needs, which includes conducting technical discussions to understand the scope and expectations, designing and executing appropriate analytical plan/method, consulting with value-added insight and result interpretation, and recommending suitable next steps. 

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have a BS, MS or PhD degree in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science with 2+ years of experience in battery testing, designing analytical protocols, operating battery analytical instrumentation, interpreting analytical data, applying an understanding of the data to solve specific problems, writing scientific reports that include methodology, conclusions and supporting data, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines.

Experience that set you apart from other candidates would be strong knowledge and experience in lithium ion battery and other new generation batteries, such as lithium metal, Li-S, Li-air, Na battery, etc.
